Global Grand Challenges Summit 2013: Short film competition presentation

12 March 2013

In late 2012, the Academy and the US National Academy of Engineering launched parallel short film competitions, which called on creative entrants, between the ages of 18-27, to produce a film no longer than two minutes that highlighted the importance of engineering, and how engineers can solve any one of the grand challenges underlined at the Summit.

The top three films from each competition were showcased at the main Summit. The winning entrants at the Summit were Paul Clarkson, Royals Royce plc (UK) and Katie Speights, the University of Texas (US).
