What is RSS Feed?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a lightweight XML format that allows you to keep up to date with the latest news as they are published. This means you can get the latest information without having to go back to the website that is publishing it.

The Royal Academy of Engineering currently offers a feed for the media content on the raeng.tv website. If you already have a RSS reader, follow the link below and copy the URL to use in your reader.

Subscribing to RSS Feeds

If you don't already have a RSS reader, you will need to have a RSS feed reader that will display RSS feeds in order to subscribe to our RSS feed.

RSS functionality is built into some websites sites such as Google and Yahoo, and internet browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer 7.

To subscribe to our RSS feeds follow the steps below:

1. Download a feed reader or find the RSS feed capabilities of your browser. We cannot recommend a specific reader as there are so many available. However, there is a Google Directory that lists a number of them that you can choose from. Please note that The Academy is not responsible for the content of external internet sites.
2. Follow the link for the Media Content feed above and copy & paste the URL into the feed reader.
3. Follow the instructions of your feed reader/browser to access the RSS content.
